Top 10 Best Strobe Guitar Tuners

Editor's Choice - Our Favorite Strobe Guitar Tuner

1. TC Electronic PolyTune Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"I am super happy with this product."

Both arrived and are still a few weeks later in perfect working order. The tuner takes a bit of time to register the vibrations when you first turn it on. Works well with my piccolo and regular basses. It's winter and I'm inside all the time, but the solar power works just fine. I like that you can change up the function via the back panel.

2. Korg PITCHBLACK Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Alt tuning, bass tuning, Korg."

But as long as it gives me A440 standard tuning and signal mute, it's good to go. I've had this pedal for 10 years still works great. This one has been delegated to my acoustic and works perfectly. The switch output goes directly to the Korg, and it's output to a delay and DI box. I use the chromatic setting almost all the time.

3. Peterson StroboClip Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Nice replacement tuners."

This tuner worked as good as any at a lower price than many I have seen and used. This is a great tuner, worth every penny! I'd been using Guitar Tuna and I think this gives better tuning. It works every bit as well as the AW2G except missing a mic input. I bought the Peterson tuner 2 pack a few weeks ago.

4. TC Electronic POLYTUNE3 Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"This one is perfect with all my guitars."

I've bought two other similar tuners before, none of them worked well. The tuner takes a bit of time to register the vibrations when you first turn it on. First set are spectacular and my son love them. I play a 7-string bass, tuned down to F#. Not that TC Electronics are bad - I have like four of them.

5. Crescendo ZenStrobe Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Get one and you'll use it constantly!"

I'd totally recommend this to anyone needing a tuner. While it did mute when the pedal was pressed, what good is that if I can't even tell. Crescendo are the best for my Gretsch always stays in tune. Purchased it for my son to use with his bass and he loves it. It is also very stable, not bouncing around.

6. TC Electronic Polytune Clip Black Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"This one is perfect with all my guitars."

Once I had that, it was just a matter of fine tuning 'till it was in tune. I play in tunings such as E flat standard, Drop D all the way to Drop A. It is what I expected it to be and I'm very pleased. It simply detects which note I am playing, and shows me if I am sharp or flat. This has a LARGE display, bright red LED's, strobe and chromatic settings.

7. Peterson 403847 Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Other than that, we're happy with it."

I've seen 3 Peterson tuners go bad at my church. Low speed is the most visually intuitive for guitars, trumpets & etc. This one has been delegated to my acoustic and works perfectly. I use this clip to clip onto the tuning pegs of my hammered dulcimer. The clip-on chromatic tuner was very easy to use.

8. Peterson SP-1 BUNDLE Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"The sound quality was good as well."

Both arrived and are still a few weeks later in perfect working order. The only complaint I have is the low volume level. This product was received as expected and works as advertised. The display is bright, large and easy to read. The price, easy of use, and the built-in metronome snagged my attention.

9. TC Electronic PolyTune 2 Noir Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"TC Electronic Tuners are my go to."

Overall, the product works great and does what it advertises! A must have until your ear can do the trick! It did not work well the first time I put in the battery. Would recommend as a decent low cost tuner. Not a big deal, unless you want to compare to other pedals.

10. Deadbeat Sound Chromatic Pedal Strobe Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Well done Deadbeat Sound!"

Not noticeable when playing gigs, though. Only annoyance is that in selecting keys they are flats. Other than that, they're both about equivalent. Has chromatic, bass, violin, guitar, ukulele tuning built in. I use alternate tunings almost exclusively, so this thing gets a lot of use.
