Top 10 Best Pedal Guitar Tuners

Editor's Choice - Our Favorite Pedal Guitar Tuner

1. Korg PITCHBLACK Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Alt tuning, bass tuning, Korg."

But as long as it gives me A440 standard tuning and signal mute, it's good to go. I've had this pedal for 10 years still works great. This one has been delegated to my acoustic and works perfectly. The switch output goes directly to the Korg, and it's output to a delay and DI box. I use the chromatic setting almost all the time.

2. GUITARX x9 Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"It does everything they say it will."

Simply reach in, turn it on, and tune away. While it did mute when the pedal was pressed, what good is that if I can't even tell. It can be mic'd or use your instrument's vibration. To get around to the pitch, it is there NOW. It does what it suppose to and works to perfection with ease.

3. BOSS TU-3S Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Excellent tuner for bass guitars."

Already have one, but I purchased a second for a friend. This is a great tuner, especially for the money. Decent tuner, but the tuner on my Line 6 M5 is more accurate. I use this clip to clip onto the tuning pegs of my hammered dulcimer. UPDATE: Sent it back in exchange for another.

4. Snark SN-10S Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"I would recommend this tuner to anyone."

Tuning a guitars is not the easiest thing to do when you're a novice. If you're a bass player in Eb, and you drop-D, the Snark will read out DADG. Snark are the best for my Gretsch always stays in tune. Super fast response to guitar/bass signal. Great used pedal, these things are workhorses.

5. Aroma AT-07 Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Really like the chromatic."

My faithful old Fender PT-10 finally gave it up. Wow, didn't expect much but it sounds amazing. In short - this is a fantastic product, with only positive features. The Aroma tunes faster than the Aroma and it's true bypass. I keep it always on and enjoy not having to unplug anymore to tune.

6. TC Electronic POLYTUNE3 Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"This one is perfect with all my guitars."

I've bought two other similar tuners before, none of them worked well. The tuner takes a bit of time to register the vibrations when you first turn it on. First set are spectacular and my son love them. I play a 7-string bass, tuned down to F#. Not that TC Electronics are bad - I have like four of them.

7. Korg PBCS Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"The tuning seems accurate."

Both arrived and are still a few weeks later in perfect working order. This one I just plug into it, leaving it on my knee, and tune. The shipping could have been cheaper though. A friend was using mine and was constantly out of tune with the rest of the band. This has a LARGE display, bright red LED's, strobe and chromatic settings.

"Good product!"

I've second guessed my decision a couple times. Great clip on tuner priced right equals a great value. It can be mic'd or use your instrument's vibration. They lock well, look great and adjustments are great with the 19:1 turning ratio. For convenience and simplicity it can't be beat.

9. D'Addario Accessories PW-CT-20 Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"Much easier to use than tabletop models."

You wont have that size screwdriver at a gig, so use a coin. When only one is showing, you are not quite in tune yet. D'Addario Accessories are the best for my Gretsch always stays in tune. The switch output goes directly to the D'Addario Accessories, and it's output to a delay and DI box. The price, easy of use, and the built-in metronome snagged my attention.

10. Korg PB01MINI Pedal Guitar Tuner

Editor's Impressions

"I play electric bass."

Not noticeable when playing gigs, though. I was astounded when I opened the box and saw how small the tuner was! Also serves to counterbalance an iPad if you are using one for a sheet music holder. I bought it because I'm sick of trying to tune with my acoustic tuner on my phone. Great used pedal, these things are workhorses.
